The Opportunity
OA is hiring a healthcare architect to join our Oxford studio, to work on a series of new and exciting projects in the acute healthcare and mental healthcare sector.

OA is a dynamic and growing architectural practice with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, design-focused projects across a diverse range of sectors. With offices in Oxford, Bristol, and Cambridge, we are a chartered RIBA practice working with both national and international clients.
Within the Health Sector we have produced several award winning and internationally acclaimed projects. Over the past 30 years we have worked closely with our clients to develop models of care and have inputted into national standards. We strive to achieve contemporary, sustainable, and innovative designs to suit our client’s brief, budgets and programme. We provide a bespoke design service that responds specifically to the site’s context and client’s needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of projects across RIBA Stages 1 - 6
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to develop solutions
- Produce technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the studio’s collective knowledge base
- Maintain excellent client relationships and uphold design quality throughout project delivery
Requirements
- At least three years’ post - Part 3 experience and be registered with the ARB
- Have some experience with the healthcare sector, and with the passion and commitment to do more.
- Knowledge and experience of working in Revit / BIM software.
- Understanding ADB software would be an advantage.
- RIBA Stage 4 - 6 experience (including technical specification writing / compiling tender information)
- Solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning processes
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
- Good all-round UK experience
- High quality design
- Good spoken and written English
