Alex qualified as an Architect during the spring of 2021. He has primarily worked within the Healthcare Sector, where his projects varied widely in scale.
In his experience delivering larger projects, he has developed his ability to scrutinise existing proposals against Healthcare Design Standards (HBNs/HTMs) in a holistic manner; become aware of how resource forecasting is key in alleviating programme pressures and where to devote effort to efficiently produce Tender documents whilst still capturing quality design.
His historical work on smaller concurrent projects honed his time keeping skills; provided a practical understanding of how building contracts are administered and the inter-personal skills required to lead a project through to completion. Work that fell mainly within a retrofit capacity, he also understands the unique challenges this type of project brings – particularly the on-site phase.
