Set within the wooded slopes of Boars Hill, Oxford View is a contemporary family home designed in direct response to its landscape.
The challenging site is shaped by steep topography, mature woodland and important ecological constraints, with the design stepping naturally with the terrain rather than imposing upon it. This relationship with the landscape helps the house sit comfortably within its surroundings while taking advantage of expansive views across Oxford.
Taking shape on site
Construction is now progressing at pace, bringing the design increasingly into view.
With the foundations complete and the ground floor structure in place, blockwork is taking form and structural steelwork is being installed. The next phase will see the introduction of precast concrete floor planks, marking another significant milestone as the scale, form and relationship of the house to its surrounding landscape become increasingly apparent.
