Supporting Future Architects at Kendleshire Homes
Welcoming Students to Site
Recently, we were delighted to welcome students from the RIBA Future Architects mentoring programme with the School of Architecture & Environment at UWE Bristol to one of our live residential projects - Kendleshire Homes.
The visit formed part of the mentoring programme’s aim to provide students with greater insight into architectural practice and the realities of delivering projects on site, helping bridge the gap between academic study and professional experience.
Understanding the Project
Marketed under Sleepy Hollows, Kendleshire Homes is a collection of five contemporary homes overlooking the golf course, carefully designed in response to the site, surrounding landscape and wider setting.
Visiting the project during construction gave students the opportunity to see how design ideas translate into built form, while discussions throughout the day explored planning considerations, site constraints and technical detailing on site.
