New welfare and reception facility Graphic Packaging International

OA were engaged by Graphic Packaging International to design and deliver an extension to their newly refurbished 24,000m2 manufacturing & processing facility in Yate, South Gloucestershire. The project introduced a new reception area with an Innovation & Design Centre, alongside a dedicated welfare facility.

The development comprises of two distinct, thermally separated buildings designed to create a welcoming, functional entrance. These building are linked by a thoughtfully landscaped garden featuring both hard and soft elements, providing staff with a sustainable outdoor space to gather and relax. The reception building was designed as a versatile space, accommodating meetings, conferences, and seminars for up to 40 people in a comfortcontrolled, fully catered environment. This adaptability supports a wide range of activities for both staff and visitors. The welfare building enhances the employee experience by offering a comfortable space for staff to prepare for their workday. With future growth in mind, the building allows for each expansion, including additional locker facilities as the workforce increases.

OA provided a full-service design and delivery, completing all RIBA stages from 0 to 7.
