OA were appointed by Stoke Gifford Parish Council to review their existing facilities and design an extension that would provide new changing facilities, an ancillary café, and a larger office and meeting room.
Following the review, the works partly demolished the existing hall and provided a building that connects to its surroundings through increased glazing and doors, addresses the park and arriving visitors and improves facilities.
The café has two large concertina doors, allowing greater connection to the outside. These can be opened during warmer months and allow the café to spill out onto the landscape, enabling park users to find a place to sit, socialise and watch the football.
The meeting room has been moved from its previous dark location to a prominent corner location and fitted with a large corner window that will flood the room with light. The retained elements were refurbished with a new bin store and external store formed, with existing parking and landscaping retained.
