Copse Road Chapel Conversion Gets Underway
A New Chapter for a Historic Chapel
Work has commenced on the sensitive conversion of the Grade II listed Copse Road Chapel in Clevedon, Somerset, into six two-bedroom apartments.
The scheme seeks to retain and celebrate the building's historic character while introducing contemporary residential accommodation. Within the main chapel space, the apartments will make use of the building's generous proportions, with first-floor open-plan kitchen, living and dining areas extending up to the apex of the roof.
Progress on Site
Following the completion of initial enabling and drainage works, construction is now progressing with the formation of internal separating walls.
OA Architecture will continue working closely with the contractor to develop the detailed designs for the kitchen and living spaces, ensuring the new interventions complement the chapel's existing heritage features. The project is targeting completion in late summer 2027.
