Heritage-Led Vision for Lowestoft Station
National attention for early proposals
Our early design proposals for Lowestoft railway station, developed in collaboration with railway heritage specialists Fain Redfern, have been featured by the BBC.
It is encouraging to see the project attracting wider public interest and prompting conversation about the value of heritage-led investment in transport infrastructure and its role in shaping passenger experience.
Building the case for investment
At this stage the work centres on feasibility and design exploration, examining how a replacement roof informed by historic precedent could deliver improved shelter, enable year-round activity and help re-establish the station as a distinctive and welcoming gateway to Lowestoft.
The study provides an important foundation as future funding opportunities are considered and longer-term ambitions for the site evolve.
